Authors
Online Submission
All electronic submissions must be made via the JBB Online Submission System: https://55099zzwd.coop.osaka-u.ac.jp/JRS/. This is an e-mail-based system. User ID and password are not required. Received e-mails should be printed out and kept until the final decision is announced.
If the editor has sent you an e-mail of request for revision and asked you to send back a revised version, you should submit the revised manuscript through the link provided in the e-mail. You need not re-enter the submission form.
Manuscripts that have been rejected or withdrawn may be resubmitted with appropriate modifications based on the editor's comments. In such cases, you must submit the manuscript as a new submission. Please fill out the submission form and provide the former manuscript number in the box given.
System requirements
- Windows 2000/XP with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x or higher/Firefox 1.5x
- Mac OSX with Safari 1.2 that supports JavaScript
Users are required to have an e-mail address. The system sends e-mails in HTML format. If your mail system does not support HTML, special characters may not be correctly displayed.
To view PDF files, you need to download and install Adobe Reader.
File format
The following two files should be submitted in Microsoft Word format:- Abstract file (including title, author information, abstract body, and key words)
- A single file of complete manuscript (Title page, Abstract, Text body, References, Figure legends, Tables, and Figures. Put all elements in correct order)
The maximum file size should not exceed 10 MB. Word files must have ".doc" extension. PDF files are not accepted. The system will convert the source files to PDF.
For Macintosh users: After the preparation of your Word files, please check the files using the MS-Word in Windows. If the files do not display correctly, they cannot be converted to PDF successfully.
Text
- Use standard fonts like Times or Times New Roman. Font size should be 12 pt.
- Avoid using double-byte characters (Asian fonts).
- Use Symbol font for special characters such as Greek letters and mathematical symbols.
- Number all pages in sequence, including title page.
- Manuscript pages should have line numbers.
Figures
- EPS, TIFF, and JPEG formats should be used for images.
- Do not embed tables and figures as Excel files. The system cannot convert such files to PDF.
